Is it Important For a Pregnant Girl to Get Married?

In some parts of the world and in some families it is very important for a pregnant girl to get married. When I say girl I mean younger or mature women, years are not important. What is important is the fact that people are forced into marring each other because of the pregnancy. How morally correct is that? It is a very arguable question.

First, it can happen to anyone. Even people who are married for years, sometimes, when pregnancy happens are not ready for another child. Reasons are different but that is not the point. Nobody should force anyone into doing such important thing in life as to have a baby. However if you want to keep the baby, you should not be forced to marry someone you do not want to.

Life and bringing up the children are hard enough already without the fact that you must be stack with the person you have no feelings for, or at least not that kind of feelings, necessary for sharing good and bad in life. Even people who love each other and who are soul mates are finding it difficult to find strength for everyday life and life with each other. That is why nobody should be forced to marriage for no reason. That child would be happier to have mom and dad separated but happy and who love him/her very much.

If pregnancy happens, it is more important to see if mother to be wants to keep the baby. She should be supported no matter what she decides but if she decides that she wants a baby, that is the most important thing. If someone thinks that, her family and she should be ashamed of this that is their problem. If we decide to take a peek into their lives, who knows what could we find there. Therefore, they should better keep quiet.

The main reason for forcing a pregnant girl to get married is the sense of embarrassment. But in some cases, a girl gets married without anyone making her to do that. Even if she knows that that relationship is not going to work, she gets married anyway just for the purpose of baby being born while in marriage. For some people this is very difficult to understand because you do not need to hide to have something as precious as baby is. You do not need cover. Luckily, times are changing and even if it will take generations to change it, it is already much better. We will get rid of prejudice eventually.
